2017 was an amazing year for SnapAV, as I hope it was for many of you. I wanted to take a moment to thank each one of you for your business, reflect on the year we had together, and look forward to 2018 and beyond. Our customers are our lifeblood. You fuel our team. And you inspired us to do many great things in 2017. Here are a few highlights:
1. This was a banner year for OvrC. We stepped up our platform investments and significantly reduced the costs to our dealers. Most dealers (Silver Partner Rewards members and up) began getting lifetime OvrC Pro licenses for FREE in the spring of 2017. Plus, your feedback led to awesome new capabilities like OvrC Home Macros, Parental Controls, and other Device Management features. OvrC is now being used to help our dealers manage systems in over 150,000 homes!
2. We launched an all-new line of Autonomic products. It’s been just over a year since SnapAV acquired Autonomic. As 2017 concluded, we celebrated the launch of the all-new Autonomic eSeries product line, the most reliable and capable Autonomic products ever. This is just the beginning of new innovations from our Audio team.
3. Big changes were made to the SunBriteTV lineup. You told us that selling outdoor TVs was challenging due to their prices, so we developed the Veranda model—affordable, professional and profitable. With Veranda, dealers installed more outdoor TVs than ever before in 2017. We also upgraded the SunBriteTV Signature line, adding 4K performance and built-in HDBaseT.
4. Outdoor WAPs joined the Araknis family. We continued enhancing our networking stable, and are making big investments to round out this category in 2018, since it’s become so important for our dealers and our business.
These milestones were all achieved while doubling our investment in SnapAV’s testing and validation teams. This continued commitment to quality shows up in every new product SnapAV launches. We are grateful you responded so favorably to these highlights. 2017 was another record year for SnapAV—with healthy growth in both revenues and profits. This success enabled us to bring a new investor in to our company, positioning us to make greater strides in the years ahead. What innovations will 2018 bring? Our audio, surveillance and networking lines will all see lots of new and exciting introductions. OvrC will expand its current capabilities. And we will be laser-focused on helping you optimize how you serve your customers and build your businesses. Future innovation is not limited to our products. Our website, our services, and our policies are incredibly important to you. Snap’s approach to these core functions has even changed the way that many others serve the industry. And we want to do more. In 2018, we will also launch new training initiatives to help you face growing technical complexities in the field. We will challenge ourselves to simplify both product installation and support services. And we hope to make it easier for you to efficiently run and grow your businesses.
