In this release, OvrC introduces a suite of enterprise management features that gives integrators greater flexibility in managing user permissions and allows account owners to share their OvrC customers with external parties, including Parasol and OneVision.
Feature Introduction
To better support the evolving support operations of technology integrators, we’ve decided to completely re-build the user, permissions, and access management capabilities of OvrC to be more flexible and robust. You can now define ‘Groups’ with associated permission levels and client access, and then manage any number of ‘Users’ for that group, whether that user is internal or external to your organization.
See the introductory video below:
Do More with Groups & Permissions
With this update, you can do more with OvrC.
- Better manage user access on your account – Create multiple custom groups with specific permission levels and client access. Assign all the users on your account to those groups as appropriate to your service operations. Examples include dividing up coverage of clients by regions, type of installation, specific skills required by the techs, or coverage hours required.
- Share your clients with other OvrC users – In some cases, it might make sense for you to share the support burden of your clients with other integrators on an ongoing basis or get advanced troubleshooting help on a temporary basis. Whatever the needs, you have full control via OvrC.
- Share your clients with service providers – If you decide to leverage network monitoring companies such as Parasol or OneVision to support your clients, you can share specific clients with those organizations without giving up ownership or sharing username/passwords.
- Help support other integrator’s clients – Lend a hand to fellow integrators to help support their clients on an ongoing or temporary basis. Once an integrator shares a client with you, his client will show up alongside your clients on your OvrC dashboard with a ‘Shared’ flag.
