This OvrC update will fundamentally change how you use OvrC, making you faster and more efficient device and system configuration, troubleshooting, and device management. These improvements will come about by changing your initial destination within OvrC from the DEVICE LIST to the CATEGORIES PAGE.
Once exclusive to just Control & Automation, Categories is now the consolidated home for the Site Settings, Pro Tools, OvrC Pro Settings, as well as device and sub-system configuration and management. This significant navigational update comes with a toggle button, allowing users to quickly switch between the old and new views. New OvrC Categories will consolidate Partner Tools:
OvrC Categories
Control & Automation: Control4 controller registration, customer handoff, project management settings and tools, invite to Connect, and Routine’s configuration
Entertainment: site and device configuration options for MoIP, and will also soon house configuration options for Ryff and Episode Business Music Service (both coming soon)
Networking Configuration: device configuration options for networking devices, plus the new home for Wi-Fi Management that was previously located in Site Settings
Power: device configuration options for Wattbox products
Remote Management: device configuration options for OvrC Pro devices, plus the new home for the OvrC Pro settings and the Pro Tools
Surveillance: site and device configuration options for Luma products, including Luma Insights
Discovered: device configuration options for third-party devices that are discovered by the OvrC Pro agent
New Feature for Control4 Projects
Restore Control4 Project
When the need arises due to a corrupt project, failed controller, or a controller update, OvrC now allows you to load a cloud-backup of the project file onto the primary controller – from anywhere!
A new REPORTS Page has been added to the Left Navigation Menu in OvrC, and provides a customizable and downloadable dashboard overview of your OvrC-registered Control4 Customer systems and accounts. If are a Control4 Dealer and do not see REPORTS in the OvrC menu, make sure that you have linked your Control4 Account to OvrC.
Subscriptions
provides a dashboard view for your Control4 Customer’s subscription plans, including Control4 Connect, Assist, and Assist Premium. The page includes filters for Plan, Month, and Year at the top of the page, metrics and Month-over-Month (MoM) trends, and upcoming subscription renewals.
Control4 Account Dashboard
helps identify which of your customers are ready for a Control4 OS update, a hardware upgrade, when their service subscriptions are about to expire (4Sight or Connect) or if their controller potentially needs to be restarted, based on the last time it checked in.
Click Download CSV to save a copy of the report as currently shown.
Click the Customize button to select the most relevant content for your company, or the task at hand.
Columns can be dragged, allowing you to customize the order and create the most efficient view for you.

OvrC App update v7.6.1
This update introduces MATTER as a discovery protocol to be used during Network Scansin order to provide more correct and complete device information.
is now supported as a discovery protocol for better device identification
Automatic Removal of Locally Administered Address (LAA) devices:
LAA devices (typically mobile devices and tablets) override their burnt in MAC for a locally assigned MAC that changes once a week to prevent tracking and help protect customer privacy
OvrC will keep your Device List free from clutter by automatically removing any LAA devices after 7 days if they have not been renamed or had notes added
Network scans will now complete faster, and scrolling through the Device List will be much easier
This feature went live a few weeks ago, scrubbing every LAA device that is 7 days or older, resulting in a reduced device-count
Going forward, a 7-day countdown till be added to each LAA-identified device found during a network scan.
