5 Great New Features for the Halo & Halo Touch Remote

Halo Firmware 1.7 delivers powerful new features to enhance your customer’s experience and ensure their remote is always connected for their enjoyment, including:

Custom Buttons on Halo and Halo Touch unlock the power of Control4 scenes. The push of a button easily adjusts all the Lighting, Audio, Video, and Thermostats on a project to the precise setting needed for whatever activity. The four menus of up to six buttons each can be accessed by the Custom Buttons option now available in the Room View main menu.

The What’s New Page feature on Halo and Halo Touch will update with each firmware launch to display a bullet point list of newly added features (and fixes if necessary). A blue dot notification on the UI will disappear after new features are read about in the settings menu.

The Updated Lighting Experience enhances navigation and control by adding individual load control inside of the list view page without the need to dive into the next page. This means easier dimming and fan speed control on the fly.

We've made big Battery Life Improvements that will now allow your Halo to last roughly 2x longer off the dock.

Wi-Fi Stability is also enhanced through brand new Wi-Fi architecture aimed at improving usability and reliability, including:

  • Improved WiFi capability features
  • Brand new WiFi chip SDK, with patches aimed at addressing connectivity issues seen in the field
  • Reduced dropouts
  • Faster, improved reconnects
  • Improved user experience when waking from deep sleep to prevent lagging commands

Clare-Chamberlain Notice

Clare end customers and Partners may have recently received communication from Chamberlain Group, the owner of garage door control brands including Liftmaster, Chamberlain, myQ, and Merlin, stating that on March 18th, 2024, they will disable the myQ integration with the Clare system. As a result, myQ-enabled garage door control, status, notifications, automations, and third-party monitoring of these devices through Clare will no longer function after that date.

Lets Connect together

The launch of Control4 Connect is just the beginning of our ongoing investment in software, your profitability, and our shared goal of creating happier customers. We greatly value your feedback and partnership, as they continue to shape the future.

Control4 Connect is essential. It's the software that supports the Control4 system, and we are continuously investing in that system and its integrations to ensure it remains reliable, robust, and keeps improving over time.

One of our Partners agrees:

"Who doesn't like RMR with Connect? I view it as passive income, so it's additional income for our business that can be used for training or other things. It's really nice to see Snap leading the way with Control4 Connect with both the dealer and the client in mind."
