OvrC Notifications Update

We know OvrC is critical to your business and for supporting your customers. We understand your pain points and frustration caused by excessive and/or erroneous notifications. Our OvrC team is in the process of making improvements to the servers and how the platform handles notifications.  

This week, we discovered a time synchronization issue across our many servers, creating a conflict between connect and disconnect times. Yesterday, we corrected this and as a result have seen an immediate reduction in false notifications. 

In the next couple weeks, we�ll be releasing an update that introduces the first phase of several notification improvements in store in the coming months, including improving the quantity, accuracy, and information included to make notifications more actionable. Stay tuned � more details to come.

11-Feb-21 Updates and Improvements to OvrC

This update includes many improvements and bug fixes. The updated web application is available now. Updates to the mobile app are waiting on final approval from Android and Apple. Please stay on the lookout for notifications prompted on your mobile device to update your OvrC app.

What's Fixed

  • Resolved - Notification bell enabled for newly discovered third-party devices for shared-in accounts. Notification bells will be disabled for all discovered devices for all dealers with access to a customer site after a hub scan finds new devices.
  • Resolved - Instances where shared users continued to receive notifications on accounts where they were removed.
  • Resolved - Some WattBoxes incorrectly displayed UPS connected status. The UPS state is now correctly displayed on all WattBox devices where a UPS is attached.
  • Resolved - WattBoxes discovered with a blank name. The name field now properly populates.
  • Resolved - WebConnect not working on some third-party devices. Pakedge devices that were having this issue will now work as expected as well as others.
  • Resolved - Fixed issue causing users who are both pending and shared to have 2 icons.
  • Resolved - User Settings - Two-factor authentication "known devices' are not listed. The list is now populated.
  • Resolved - Improved navigation where cached information was outdated. Most notably, when a manual speed test is performed, the results are displayed without having to refresh the screen.
  • Improved - Now displaying network settings on device details OVRC-PRO 100/300
  • Improved - Disabled "Add New User" line on Client Services for shared-in accounts
  • Improved - Wi-Fi Management - Updated Radio Settings will now spin until save is complete, giving positive feedback on the progress of the save.
  • Improved - Wi-Fi Management - Editing settings on an Access Point (e.g. channel settings) now indicates changes pending.
  • Improved - Wi-Fi Management - Removed "Changes Pending" when updating device names as editing device names is immediate and does not require changes to be applied.
  • Improved - Added back arrow to WebConnect title. This is now consistent with the navigation through the rest of the app
  • Various other small improvements and bug fixes.

New Binary MoIP Controller Audio Return Firmware

We�re excited to launch new Audio Return firmware for the Binary MoIP controller. Firmware 3.1.0.4, which also encompasses unlaunched firmware 3.1.0.2, allows the ARC to be enabled via HDMI and Toslink on MoIP receivers. This allows the audio output from a Smart TV to be incorporated into a MoIP ecosystem and output through a multichannel audio receiver or whole-home audio system. EDID setting updates are also enabled to support full pass-through of Dolby Atmos and DTS-X. Firmware is available remotely through OvrC and for download on our product pages.
