SnapAV is aware of the coordinated disclosure of a series of vulnerabilities (dubbed FragAttacks), related to the functionality of Wi-Fi devices, released by the Industry Consortium for Advancement of Security on the Internet (ICASI) on May 11, 2021. These vulnerabilities are not unique to SnapAV products and appear to impact all Wi-Fi devices operating on the IEEE 802.11 standard.
The vulnerabilities were identified in the IEEE 802.11 implementation of disaggregation and defragmentation.
SnapAV is working to release patches for vulnerable Wi-Fi products. The complete list will be communicated when the timelines are available.
It is important to note that an attacker must be physically within range of the Wi-Fi network of the vulnerable device to exploit these weaknesses. According to the Wi-Fi Alliance, there is no evidence of the vulnerabilities being used against Wi-Fi users maliciously.
Because of this information, SnapAV believes that while it is unlikely that any customers have been affected to date, it is important that dealers apply the patches when available to protect customers.

Unfortunately, supply chains continue to be significantly impacted by Covid-19. This recent Forbes article highlights the disruption Covid-19 and other factors have on worldwide supply chains. Covid-19 has caused manufacturing to run at a limited capacity with multiple related shutdowns, which has disrupted overall product supply and sub-component supply for future builds. These events have impacted manufacturer's ability to build units, which has reduced inventory. Coming out of the many worldwide shutdowns, manufacturers have seen a significant spike in demand, which has caused massive inventory shortages.
For these reasons, manufacturers are allocating product into distribution. The inventory we receive is not enough to cover dealer backorders, making products unavailable on our portals and pushing back availability dates.
We process dealer backorders on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis. Your best chance at receiving an out of stock product as soon as we get enough allocation, is to place a backorder.

As a reminder: today we are implementing minimal pricingadjustments to offset additional costs due to the U.S. government's escalationof the tariffs imposed in September 2018 for goods imported from China.
